However, this review is about purchasing our new home just this past month in October 2017. When we decided to start looking again in March, there was no doubt in our mind who we would call. Of course, I am talking about the purchase of a home, my first home in fact. I was interested in purchasing a home in the Winter Garden area, and on my own found a builder for the purchase of a brand-new home. At that point I did not think I would need a realtor at all. I just tell the builder what I want and sign right? Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!
From the initial paperwork, design scheduling, design meeting, builder meeting, inspection meetings, to the final walkthrough and contract signing the entire process is stressful! Having both Irena or Suzanne Aistrop available to answer all my questions/concerns though every phase of the building process was more stress relieving than the best deep tissue massage I have ever experienced. I cannot thank them enough for the work they put in for me.
The builder offered open house events at their design studio where a potential buyer could look at the options that would be available to them. Things such as cabinet styles, floor styles, etc. On the evening I went to the design studio, Suzanne offered to meet me there. We spent the better part of 3 hours walking around and discussing different options, such as what I liked versus what I could afford. During that same event, one of the builder design studio employees offered to print out a copy of the entire customization list for me if I wanted to see it. When I say entire list I mean, single spaced, size 10 font, printed on the front and back of probably 40 pages. I spent an entire weekend reading the damn thing. However, that is the type of person I am. With my page full of notes and questions, I scheduled a conference call with both Irena and Suzanne. We talked about my design choices and how I could get the best “bang for my buck” sort to speak toward the value of my home. Months later, when the home was complete, we turned the default model 3-bedroom/2 ½-bathroom to a 4-bedroom/3-bathroom gorgeous home that appraised higher than what I purchased it for. Which is apparently a big deal! The Aistrop’s explained to me that the market plus my design choices basically built equity into my home right out of the gate.
I also need to mention that Irena is a document/contract MASTER! Every piece of documentation provided by the builder she read through line by line with me and explained anything I did not fully understand. She helped fight for and ensured I had protection against my deposit and a financing contingency in writing. She assisted in the coordination of an independent inspector and helped me push for the builder to resolve/complete anything he found. Irena also read through the entire final contract with me at the builder’s office. She even had notes she kept during previous conversations with me and the builder, which she said she was using to verify certain sections of the contract.
This was truly an amazing experience for me, and one I did not expect. Irena and Suzanne’s combined 30+ years of experience really showed. If I ever think of selling my home or buying a different home, the Aistrop Team will be the first and only realtors I will call."
